Today IBC Tamil TV is celebrating their 1st Birthday. In 1997 IBC Tamil Radio was launched as the 2nd 24H Tamil satellite radio channel in Europe from UK. Already in the early days IBC had a dream of launching a Tamil TV-channel, and that dream came true last year on 19th April. Today after 1 year on-air IBC Tamil TV has grown to a powerful high quality Tamil media in Europe compared to existing Tamil media in the world. IBC Tamil TV telecasts a lot of own-produced programmes from its studios in UK, India and Sri Lanka. Compared to exisiting high quality Tamil medias from India (for example Star Vijay TV and Sun TV), IBC Tamil TV shows a mix of different kind of infotainment-programmes instead of only cinema-based entertainment programmes or serials. 

Different managements have run IBC media since the beginning in 1997, and the current management is doing a great job which would make Tamileelam leadership proud. IBC Tamil TV is the only Tamil TV station in Europe which has "Tamil Eelam" map in its channel logo presentation. Birthday and best wishes to IBC Tamil from Media Asia.
