The much awaited Tamil general entertainment channel from SRM group, Vendhar TV (also called Pudhu Yugam) has started test transmission on Intelsat 17 (66 degree East): 4015, V, SR 30000 and fec 3/4 - free-to-air. SRM group is behind the popular news channel, Puthiya Thalaimurai, and their new general entertainment channel, Vendhar TV, is expected to compete with Sun TV's popularity - not only in India but also in other countries with Tamil population. 

The channel is going to launch on 15th July according to a poster:
