Amrita TV's Shabareesham Gives Comprehensive Coverage of Sabarimal
Amrita TV begins a new programme Shabareesham, to bring home the essence of the sacred season at Sabarimala, when it unlocks its portals to receive the supplications of the conflux of pilgrims that surge over the entire area, from Mandalapooja.
This 42- episoded Sabarimala exclusive will cover the entire pilgrim period from November 17th to January 13th, the day before Makaravillakku.

Sun TV gets back 2nd season of Sangeetha Mahayuddham
The second season of the musical reality show, Sangeetha Mahayuddham, begins with the state-wide auditions commencing on 13 November at 9:30 pm on Sun TV, which will be followed by the first match between the teams for the new season.
Conceptualised and produced by Saibaba Telefilms, the show will be shown every Saturday and Sunday. The new line-up of captains this season features playback singers Rahul Nambiar, Ranjith, Naveen, Prasanna, Sunitha Sarathy and Mathangi and carnatic singer Prasanna and pop singer Grace Karunas.
The format of Sangeetha Mahayuddham is based on teams rather than individuals with the intention to give the pleasure of mixing music with competition amongst established celebrities.

Mathrubhumi mulls launching news channel in Kerala
The Kerala-based Mathrubhumi Printing and Publishing Company is in plans to launch a 24-hours news and current affairs channel in the state.
The channel, Mathrubhumi News, will go on air in three months, said a source from the company, "We will be launching a 24-hour Malayalam news channel in about 3 months."
The channel will be based in Thiruvananthapuram.
There are currently four news channels in Kerala namely Indiavision News, Asianet News, People (Kairali) and Malayala Manorama channels.
Mathrubhumi has been managing content for the last 87 years and as a brand, it has got a strong attachment with the people of the state.

New Indian bouquet in South Africa
TopTV, the new Pay Television service that started in May is proud to announce the arrival of TOP STAR, a new bouquet that will feature the best programming from India for Tamil and Hindi viewers.
Launching on 1 November, TOP STAR will consist of four brand new channels in the South African market. Star Plus (a Hindi general entertainment channel), Star Gold (the best Bollywood movies), Vijay (a Tamil general entertainment channel) as well as Channel V (a music channel).
Star channels on Eurobird 9A in Europe and Middle East
Star Plus, Star Gold, Channel V and Star Vijay International have started in the TOP TV package on Astra 4A (4.8 degree East): 12645, Vertical, SR 30000 and fec 2/3 - encrypted. The channels are only available on the African beam for subscribers of TOP TV in South Africa.
