Kerala to have five more TV channels
Five new channels will beam into Kerala homes soon, providing viewers more choices but crowding the television business in the state.Currently, there are nine TV channels broadcasting in the state. Of these, Asianet, India Vision, People (Kairali) and Malayala Manorama are news channels.
Malayalam channel Amrita TV rolls out website
Amrita TV, the premier Malayalam GEC in the broadcasting space of Kerala has rolled out its own website malayala.amritatv.com. It will be the digital arm of Amrita TV that will be stuffed with features and will have Malayalam as the operating language.Asianet celebrates Onam with entertaining bouquet
Asianet is celebrating Onam in a big way this year and has lined up an entertaining bouquet of interviews, films, special programmes and music-based shows.
The two-week programme that began on 14 August (Atham Day) will continue till 25 August (Avittam Day).

NGC to decide on Tamil feed after Telugu stabilises
National Geographic Channel (NGC) will decide on other language feeds including Tamil only after it stabilises in the Andhra Pradesh market, a senior executive said.Fox International Channels, which has NGC and a host of other channels under its stable, has no plans at this stage to launch regional feeds for Fox History and Entertainment.

Suvarna to air
Star's Kannada offering Suvarna will be airing a reverse sequel of its very popular Pyte Hudigir Halli Lifu (City Girl Village Life). The one-hour show will be aired from Monday to Friday at 8 pm from 23 August. The new show is 'Halli Hyda Pyeteg Banda' (Tribal lad has come to the city).
