Thamizhamutham Radio on FM in Paris
Thamizhamutham Radio which is broadcasting from Paris, France and run by former IBC presenter S.K. Rajan, is going to start daily broadcasting on 93.1 FM in Paris. Thamizhamutham Radio is currently a 24 Hour satellite radiostation broadcasting on Eutelsat Hotbird (13 degree East): 12597, V, SR 27500 and fec 3/4. It will begin the daily FM transmission from July 14th and you can listen to it daily on 93.1 FM from 15.00-16.00 CET in Paris.
Deepam TV's future plans
Recently Deepam TV announced that they have got a new owner. On June 11th 2000 Deepam TV was started by East West Broadcast Ltd. Today the channel has been taken over by a new company named Global Media & Entertainment Ltd. The new owner has already made some changes in Deepam TV. The channel has started telecasting on Eurobird 9A (9 degree East) satellite and will leave Hotbird (13 degree East) in a few days.
Doordarshan should run a kids channel
Like its counterparts in UK and Australia, why doesn't India boast of a channel targeted at kids? That was the theme of a panel discussion at Ficci Frames 2013.
Prasar Bharati CEO Jawhar Sircar, who was expected to take part in the panel discussion, was conspicuous by his absence. The session that was supposed to discuss and deliberate upon the importance of a public kids' broadcaster went without government representation.
