Star Plus jumped two slots to the third position in the GEC urban plus rural market, whereas Star Bharat slipped a slot to the fourth position. A majority of channels in week 39 almost retained their respective positions as in week 38.

tactvMany subscribers of state-owned Arasu Cable TV Corporation in the district are complaining of cable operators charging them as much as Rs 700 for installing the free set-top boxes (STBs) issued by the corporation. The operators are threatening to disconnect the service if they don't pay up, the subscribers told TOI.

Authorities had announced that the boxes will be installed from September 1, when digital broadcasting system was launched. "The cable operator in the area asked us to pay Rs 700 for installing the STBs of Arasu TV. He said that if we do not pay by the first week of October, he will disconnect the service," K Parvathi, a resident of Parappalayam, said.

The deal was brokered by the Birmingham-based sports agency Sporting Group International.

zeetvSubhash Chandra-led ZEEL is all set to unveil a new look of its Hindi general entertainment channel Zee TV, from 15 October.

Sources close to the development confirmed to Indiantelevision.com that, on 15 October, the network will present Zee TV in the new avatar with a new orange logo and tag line -- ‘Aaj Lihkenge Kal.’
