Raj TV bucks trend, gains 5%
On Thursday, Raj Television Network moved up by 5.33 per cent to close at Rs 133.45 on the BSE. This is despite the broadbased drop in BSE Sensex and the NSE's Nifty lost about two per cent during the day.
It registered a new 52-week high at Rs 135.50 during the day, which is more than three times its 52-week low of Rs 41.50 touched in August 2011. On the BSE, 62,000 shares changed hands in the counter, as against its daily average 52,000 shares in the last two weeks. Raj TV has been on the rise in the last three days after the company announced successful release of the digitised version of an old super hit Tamil film Karnan.
Tamil channel Peppers TV launched on mobile platform
With the number of people accessing Internet from mobile going up, the trend among the television channels has been to latch on to the mobile platform to target this large untapped segment.
Tamil entertainment channel, Peppers TV, has joined the race by launching its offerings on the mobile platform making it early adopters of the digital platform among regional channels to be streamed on mobile phones.

Suvarna to air daily fiction show Amrutavarshini from 19 March
The Star Network's Kannada GEC, Suvarna, will start airing a new daily soap 'Amrutavarshini' from 19 March at the 9.30 pm slot.
Amrutavarshini, airing Monday to Friday, is about an innocent, docile girl from a poor family who has few expectations in life; she is content with the simple things that her family life has to offer. The story goes through the way her life changes when she gets married into a rich family.

Colors to experiment with social thriller genre, Chhal - Sheh Aur Maat to air from 19 March
Colors is experimenting with the social thriller genre with the launch of a fiction show, Chhal - Sheh Aur Maat.
Depicting betrayal and mystery, the daily show will go on air on 19 March at 9 pm. It will add to Colors' programming lineup representing dramas, romantic comedies, sports entertainment and scripted reality.
Produced by 24, it will air from Monday- Friday.
