Ayngaran TV and Ayngaran Plus channels have been off-air for some weeks now. The channels suddenly interrupted their broadcast without any further notice to their subscribers and viewers. When we first time contacted Ayngaran TV office in UK, we were told that they had technical problems, and that the channels were going to return again in few days... But the channels are still off-air and recently Ayngaran TV have left Eurobird 9A satellite. Ayngaran TV office is also not answering any calls and the same auto-message is played for every call. 

Due to the lack of official announcement from Ayngaran TV office in UK, we contacted the British media communications regulator, Ofcom, who regulate the TV and radio sectors and administrate license to broadcast radio/TV. Ayngaran TV have earlier been found in breach of their license due to have exceeded the permitted advertising
allowance and to have failed to pay their annual licence fee in accordance with the original deadline, despite repeated requests to do so. As a consequence
of this serious and continuing licence breach, Ofcom had put the license on notice that their present contravention of their licences is being considered for the
imposition of a statutory sanction, including licence revocation.

But Ofcom is not the reason for the interruption of Ayngaran TV channels as these channels still have their license to telecast their channels. Rumors says that there is payment problems between Ayngaran TV and Kalaignar TV in India and when we contacted both Ayngaran International office in UK yesterday and Kalaignar TV in India today we got the message, that their management were in talks and were going to make a final decision about resuming Kalaignar TV channel through Ayngaran TV or not. Probably in next week they will let others know what will happen in the future... 

Even if Kalaignar TV stops their transmission through Ayngaran TV in UK, they will try to find another partner to distribute their channel and already their channel is available in USA and other parts of the world through satellite and IPTV platforms.
