Sun Kudumbam Viruthugal is back with a bang in its third edition held on Oct 11 2014 at Confluence Convention Center, Mahabalipuram. The show will be telecast in Sun TV starting 9th November 2014 till 7th December 2014. Started as an initiative to encourage and recognize small screen talent, the show has garnered a great deal of participation both from the loyal audience watching the top-rated soaps and the various artists playing diverse roles in different serials of the channel. Besides the artists in front of the camera, this event celebrates and honours the channel's formidable fiction team for their excellence in television.

As for the awards, there are 26 major categories with 4 nominations each in various categories for the artists and technicians including unique nominations like Best Daughter-in-law Role, Best Brother/Sister role and Best dubbing artist (Female/Male) categories. The grandeur of the show will be enhanced by electric performances from popular artists from the film industry. Andrea, Mirchi Shiva, Sanchita Shetty, Raai Laxmi, Pooja, Visakha Singh and many more will dazzle on stage with specially choreographed performances for the show. Moments of levity are assured with a comedy skit planned with 2 acts to be performed by actors Manobala, Nalini, Madhumita and Madurai Muthu and the show will be anchored by Deepak and Aishwarya.

Prior to the event, each serial family will also pick a team and challenge them to plant a tree in an effort to promote a meaningful cause and spread awareness among the audience. The audience will be privy to the excitement leading to the show including behind-the-scenes footage, trivia sharing, rehearsals of the performances, interviews of the nominees and many more segments that is sure to trigger the interest level further. Owing to its sheer scale and the incredible rating the show enjoys, Sun Kudumbam Viruthugal can be touted as one of the biggest Television shows in the South. And this year too, it will be a celebration of talent in all its splendor and style.
