Today TRT Tamil Olli - the first 24 H Tamil radio station in Europe, is celebrating its 18th birthday. TRT Tamil Olli was started on 14-01-1997 on Pongal day, and is broadcasting from its studio in Paris, France. The station is available on Eutelsat Hotbird (13 degree East): 11623, Vertical, SR 27500 and fec 3/4. Today their website, www.trttamilolli.com has also been relaunched and their other website www.trttamilolli.info will be closed soon. For worldwide Tamil listeners TRT Tamil Olli is webcasted live from their website. 

TRT Tamil Olli is a popular Tamil radio station in Europe and TRT is an acronym for "Tamil Radio & Television". The television service was taken over by a new management and was later renamed TTN Tamil Ozhi (Tamil Television Network) in 2001.
