ibcasiaThe Lebara Group backed IBC (International Broadcasting Corporation) from UK, is going to relaunch IBC Asia radio station with new programmes with presenters. IBC Asia was launched by Sathy Media Ltd. along with the existing IBC Tamil Radio in UK. At that time IBC Asia was broadcasting programmes with presenters. It was mainly a Hindi channel with programmes in other Northindian languages too. A Tamil slot called LBC Tamil (London Broadcasting Corporation Tamil) was also introduced by IBC on IBC Asia. But the stations were not running well, so IBC was handed over to a new owner, London Tamil Media Ltd., which is now working closely with Lebara.

London Tamil Media Ltd. launched IBC Tamil TV for some months ago on Eurobird 9A (9 degree East): 11727, Vertical, SR 27500 and fec 3/4 - free-to-air. IBC Tamil Radio was moved from Eutelsat Hotbird (13 degree East) to the same frequency, and IBC Asia was relaunched on satellite again after a period of only DAB broadcasting in London.

It seems to be that Lebara wants to strengthen its position among Northindians in UK as Lebara's competitor, Lyca Media II, is already running Lyca Radio and Lyca Dil Se in UK. Lyca is already present in Tamil market with its TV-station, Athavan TV on the same satellite as IBC Tamil TV.
