DAN Yarl Oli, which is known as an anti-Eelam channel among Eelam Tamils in Europe, is going to end transmission on Eurobird 9A satellite on 9 degree East in Europe. The channel has started to telecast on Eutelsat 70B on 70.5 degree East and this satellite covers most part of Europe, Middle East, India, Sri Lanka and Malaysia (Eutelsat 70B downlink coverage map). The channel is currently informing viewers through a scrolling text in the bottom of the screen to tune in to Eutelsat 70B or to buy Aarti TV IPTV-service to watch DAN Yarl Oli in Europe when their satellite transmission ends in Europe. 

DAN Yarl Oli got very unpopular in mid-2009 where it telecasted anti-Eelam news and pro-Sinhala government news and called Tamil freedom fighters for terrorists. It is still regarded as a propaganda arm of the Sri Lankan government. The channel was never a success in Europe as it is telecasting in a very low quality on Eurobird 9A and compared to other Tamil TV channels on Eurobird 9A, DAN Yarl Oli is a very low quality discount TV-channel. 

The channel is not expected to get more viewers through Aarti TV IPTV service as this service is also known for its large number of pro-Sri Lankan government TV-channels and their anti-Eelam news & views. Compared to Lebara Play, Aarti TV is not worth paying for or to support. 

Even if DAN Yarl Oli channel leave Eurobird 9A, it will hardly be missed.
