sritvThe Italy-based Sri Lankan channel, Sri TV, has expanded its telecasting in Europe and to Asia. The channel has telecasted since 2004 on Eutelsat Hotbird (13 degree East) on different frequencies for viewers in Europe and Middle East, and later it also began telecasting to Asia on Insat satellite (83 degree East), but the last was stopped again. The channel has now begun telecasting on Eutelsat 28A (28 degree East): 11655, V, SR 4600 and fec 5/6 - free-to-air, for UK-viewers. Sri TV has also started free-to-air on AsiaSat 5 (100.5 degree East): 3960, H, SR 27500 and fec 3/4 for viewers in Asia. 

Eutelsat 28A (28 degeree East) is the main satellite for satellite-TV viewers in UK, and there has not been a Sinhala TV-channel on this position for a very long time since Vectone Sinhala left the satellite. Earlier channels like Sirasa TV and UC Lanka have telecasted on this position. 

Sri TV is a mainly Sinhala-channel, but it's also telecasting News in Tamil language. In Europe and Middle East this channel is available on Eutelsat Hotbird (13 degree East): 11137, H, SR 27500 and fec 3/4. Sri TV is not the one and only Sinhala TV-channel in Europe, - the other channel, One Sri Lanka Channel, is telecasting on Eurobird 9A (9 degree East): 11823, H, SR 27500 and fec 3/4.
