Star Plus, the flagship Hindi general entertainment channel from the Star Group, Star One and Hindi movie channel Star Gold, will be part of Sky's new entry-level basic tier, starting 1 September.

The basic tier reaches to 10.3 million customers in the UK and Ireland. Star said that the two channels will see a rise of over three million in their subscriber numbers due to the re-packaging of Sky's basic bundles. It will also represent a 48 per cent rise in the connected households, Star said.
