Telangana Rashtra Samiti president K Chandrashekhar Rao has come under fire from the ruling Congress party and from within his own family for his alleged violation in running a television channel "T-News" from Telangana Rashtra Samiti office.

A day after two senior Congress leaders, former Minister Mohammed Ali Shabbir and member of Parliament Suresh Shetkar demanding the Government to take back the one acre land allotted for party office to TRS, KCR's nephew Umesh Rao created a stir by targeting his uncle.

Umesh Rao, who was little heard of earlier alleged that KCR was misusing the office building by running his TV channel from there. "KCR has his stake in the TV channel in others' names and he was misusing the party office for the benefit of his family members," he said.

Umesh Rao also alleged that Rao had become a stumbling block in the path of achieving the goal of Telangana state. He said that he will submit a formal petition to Chief Secretary Pankaj Dwivedi to take back the land at Banjara Hills, which was allotted for the TRS office at a nominal price of '100 per square yard.

Both the attacks by Congress leaders and a family member came at a time when the TRS was going all out to further strengthen itself by winning most of the six Assembly seats in Telangana region.

Observers see the hand of the Congress party behind Umesh Rao as he has also said that Telangana state can be achieved not by small parties like the TRS but only by the national parties. He also said that increase in the strength of the TRS was not going to help the cause of Telangana.
