A new religious Tamil TV-channel, called Aum TV, has started free-to-air on Eurobird 9A (9 degree East): 11919, V, SR 27500 and fec 3/4. The channel is about one of the eldest religion of the world, Hinduism, and is currently testing.  It is currently unknown where the channel is telecasting from, and who the owner is. But the scrolling text on the screen indicates that it's Aum Network - Omkara Network. The channel name on the frequency list is "Aum Net". 

The channel was previously testing with a testcard on 11727, V, but shifted to 11919, V recently and started to show some programmes. The quality of the broadcast is not the best at the moment. Keep an eye on Media Asia website for more information about Aum TV.

It is not the first time we see a Hindu Tamil channel in Europe. Earlier a TV-channel called Ohm TV also telecasted on satellite in Europe, but they ceased broadcasting later. Today Ohm TV is available in Sri Lanka through the anti-Eelam DAN TV Network.
