As earlier informed on Media Asia website, London Tamil Media Ldt., which operates IBC Tamil Radio in Europe, is working on launching a TV-channel in Europe. At that time the license to start a TV-channel in UK was not confirmed by Ofcom (communications regulator authority in UK), but now it has been granted by Ofcom. It seems to be that the name of the channel is going to be "IBC Tamil" as the license is granted for this name.

When the channel will start is not yet confirmed yet, but we will let you know when informations are available. Rumours says that Lebara Mobile is a media partner for this project to compete with Lyca Media's Athavan TV, which has also got a licence by Ofcom recently.
