The Star Network's Kannada offering, Suvarna, has obtained a temporary injunction against airing of Zee Telugu's reality show 'Kondaveeti Raaja Kotalo Rani' (KRKR).

Suvarna has claimed that the show violates copyrights of its show 'Halli Hyda Pyteg Banda', which had garnered huge GRPs and TRPs for the channel.

The court passed the injunction today at 11 am, stating "defendants are restrained by means of temporary injunction from producing, advertising or airing the show/program 'Kondaveeti Raaja Kotalo Rani' and/or any part of thereof till disposal of the suit", said Suvarna in an official release.

According to the legal department at Suvarna, Zee Telugu's counsel had immediately filed an application for stay on the operation of the order for two weeks. After hearing both the sides, the court rejected the application.
