Star channels now available on Sunrise
Sunrise TV, the telecommunications company in Switzerland, has launched channels from Star network that include Star Plus, Star Gold and Vijay TV.
The channels that were launched on Sunrise TV on 19 July, provide subscribers with Tamil, Hindi entertainment and Bollywood channel content with English subtitles.
Vijay TV debuts on Freebox TV in France
Star India's Tamil channel Vijay TV has launched on Freebox TV, the IPTV platform of French telecom operator Free.
This launch makes it Vijay TV's first IPTV carriage deal in France and also strengthens Free's current offering of Indian content.

Ethnic Channels Group to distribute Zee Cinema in Canada
Zee Americas, the American subsidiary of Zeel, has entered into a long-term distribution agreement with Ethnic Channels Group for Zee Cinema in Canada.
The deal provides Ethnic Channels Group the rights to distribute the service on Cable and Satellite platforms.

DD announces first list of commissioned Urdu programmes
Doordarshan, India's public broadcaster, has approved 163 proposals for programmes to be telecast on DD Urdu chanel, following a directive from the Prasar Bharati board on Monday.
Each of the proposals will be given 13 episodes each. DD on Wednesday placed on its website the list of 163 serials.
