Puthuyugam has tightened its fiction offering with the launch of new devotional serial 'Sri Krishna Avatharam' daily between Monday to Friday at 7.00 pm from last Monday 17th November onwards.

With this new addition, the channel has packed its prime time from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM with variety of show that include Somran starrer Ashokavanam @ 6:30PM and the most favourite youth show K - Series @ 7:30 PM and 8:00 PM and Anamika @ 8:30 PM. The devotional show @ 7 PM "Sri Krishna Avatharam" is filled with magic, intrigue and charm of Lord Sri Krishna is unique among others.

Encouraged by the growth witnessed by smaller movie channels due to cable TV digitisation and expansion of TV viewership measurement to LC1 markets, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd (ZEEL) is planning to revamp its action-oriented Hindi movie channel Zee Action. "Our three channels Zee Cinema, Zee Classic and &pictures are comfortably settled, so it's time for Zee Action to get more aggressive. We believe that Zee Action can drive more viewership. It has to evolve and get a big revamp," ZEEL deputy business head of Hindi movie cluster Ruchir Tiwari said.

As part of its ongoing programming overhaul, Star India's second Hindi general entertainment channel Life OK is adding a mythological thriller to its bouquet. 'Mahadev', one of the first shows launched by the channel almost three years ago, had a successful run, but eventually the ratings started seeing a dip. The show was slated to go off air much earlier, but it will finally shut on 15 December when the channel replaces 'Mahadev' with another big-scale mythological thriller titled 'Mahakumbh'.

Sun TV is all set to launch a comedy series 'Chinna Pappa Periya Pappass' on 15 November. Produced by Radaan Mediaworks, the show is back in a new avatar with fresh content and cast after tasting success a few years ago. The laugh riot will air every Saturday at 10 pm. Veteran actor Nalini plays the role of 'Chinna papa', actor Chitra plays 'Periya papa', actor Nirosha as 'Kaakkinaada Kanagadurga' and actor Madhumitha as 'Pappu'.
