It seems to be that IBC Tamil Radio is going to launch a Tamil TV-station. No official announcement has been made by IBC Tamil yet, but a recent poster about their musical show "Pattukku Pattu" in association with Lebara Mobile showed a "IBC TV" logo in the top right corner. When we contacted IBC today a staff told us that the IBC management maybe was considering about launching a Tamil TV-station in the near future, but that nothing has been confirmed yet.

Doordarshan will now be available on the direct-to-home (DTH) platform in the Free-to-Air (FTA) basic pack in the whole of Europe and Arab countries. This, as DD Freedish gets onboard EUTELSAT's Hotbird-13 B satellite.

This will help the public broadcaster project India's viewpoint to the global audience in a cost effective manner. DD will be offered in the basic pack of the DTH service which does not require any individual to either subscribe or pay for viewing the channel.

Now, the bosses of this TV channel are planning to rock the viewers with the next season. The channel has kick-started the auditions for Super Singer 8 from today (August 4). The auditions will be held in five different places in the state.
