Vijay TV will start airing the second season of its daily cookery show Suvai Thedi (In search of good taste) on February 7 at the 5.30 pm slot.
This season of Suvai Thedi is to be hosted by Swetha along with popular chefs to find out the real taste of food and its culture.

The show, aired Monday to Friday, aims to explore intrinsic flavours of food that's special in Karnataka, Chettinadu, Kongunadu and Kerala.

Zee Kannada will air a new daily 30-minute soap, Arasi (Queen), starting 7 February. Replacing the daily soap Suryakanti, Arasi will occupy the 7.30 pm slot every Monday to Friday.

Arasi is directed by Aravind Kaushik who has under his directorial belt several films such as Nam Arealli Ondu Dina and TV series. The serial is produced and edited by Ganapathi Bhat, while Indraprasad is the cinematographer.

Media firm Sun TV Network today said its net profit has increased 48.4 per cent to Rs 225.49 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2010, against Rs 151.94 registered during the same quarter last fiscal.

In a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange, the company said that its total income increased 50.47 per cent to Rs 607.06 crore from Rs 403.43 crore.

Tamil 24 TV was expected to start on Pongal day on 15th January 2011 - as announced on their website www.tamil24.tv. They had prepared everything to start on Pongal day, but due to some reasons it was not possible for them to start on this day.  

Media Asia has been in contact with Tamil 24 TV and they have told us that their channel will be back again on Eurobird 9A satellite on 9 degree East on same frequency 11843, Vertical, SR 27500 and fec 3/4. They could not tell us an exact date, but they expect to launch within one to two months.
