This is an initiative taken by YuppTV as part of its continued endeavor to reach out to consumers across the world. The High Definition (HD) TV channels landscape is rapidly expanding in India. Amongst the various genres available today, the English general entertainment and movie channels genre is still a fragmented space and networks in their quest to stand apart from the nearest ranking rival, rely excessively upon content, marketing and a host of options among others.

However, Sun Group’s direct to home (DTH) arm Sun Direct is still in the process of getting regulatory clearances. The DTH operator will soon be able to avail the benefits that the satellite will offer.

Speaking to Indiantelevision.com Sun Direct CEO Mahesh Kumar says, “We are still in the process of getting all the regulatory clearances.”

London Tamil Media Ltd. has made an official announcement regarding their upcoming Tamil TV-station, IBC Tamil TV. It is going to start on Eurobird 9A (9 degree East): 11727, Vertical, SR 27500 and fec 3/4- this is the same frequency where Global Tamil Vision (GTV) is telecasting - and where Deepam TV also was available before April 1st. The channel is going to start on Tamil New Year on 19th April and is going to telecast in high definition (HD). There is currently high expectations to IBC Tamil TV, which i s expected to be run in a very professional way by Eelam Tamils and with wellknown presenters.
