In week 6 of TAM TV ratings, let's take a look at how the regional channels have fared across the country.

In the Bihar + Jharkhand region in the CS4+ market, Big Magic Ganga led the chart with 1,327 GVTs followed by Mahuaa with 846 GVTs and Anjan at the number third spot with 688 GVTs.

In the Marathi general entertainment channel (GEC) space, Z Marathi topped the Maharashtra region with 145,084 GVTs followed by Star Pravah at number second position with 56,548 GVTs. ETV Marathi stood third with 53,789 GVTs.

ETV Kannada is ruling the weekend primetime slots between 8 pm to 10.30 pm with the launch of its two new shows Majaa Talkies and Dancing Star 2.

Following the success of Dancing Star in its first season, ETV Kannada introduced the second season of the reality show on popular demand. Opening with 1.1 million TVTs, the show emerged at the top in Karnataka. This is the first show in Kannada mass entertainment in 2015 that has garnered peak ratings in its very first week according to the channel.

Zee Kannada will be launching two new fiction shows after the recent launch of its non-fiction property - Life Super Guru.

Both the fiction shows are produced by producer - director Ravi R Garani. The first show is titled Mr & Mrs Rangegowda, which will be aired at 8 pm, whereas the second show titled Ondoornalli Raja Rani will be aired at 8.30 pm. The shows go on air from Monday, 16 February.

Chennai based New Gen Media Corporation having proved its mettle in publication, news and entertainment broadcasting is all set to climb the next rung of the ladder - on to the digital platform with the launch of its smartpaper titled ''Puthiya Thailaimurai Indru''. The smartpaper will launch on Monday, 9 February.
