Today TRT Tamil Olli - the first 24 H Tamil radio station in Europe, is celebrating its 18th birthday. TRT Tamil Olli was started on 14-01-1997 on Pongal day, and is broadcasting from its studio in Paris, France. The station is available on Eutelsat Hotbird (13 degree East): 11623, Vertical, SR 27500 and fec 3/4. Today their website, www.trttamilolli.com has also been relaunched and their other website www.trttamilolli.info will be closed soon. Celebrating the harvest season of Pongal, Zee Tamizh has lined up an array of special movies on 15 and 16 January. On 15 January, the channel will showcase the romantic comedy 'Endrendrum Punnagai' at 11 am starring Jiiva, Trisha Krishnan, Vinay Rai and Santhanam. This will be followed by the comedy thriller 'Vadacurry' at 2 pm that is produced by Dayanidhi Azhagiri's Meeka Entertainment and directed by debutant Saravana Rajan. At 5 pm, the channel will air an action comedy titled 'Vanavarayan Vallavarayan', written and directed by Rajmohan.

Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd (Zeel) is all set to add a new channel to its bouquet. Christened '&TV', the new Hindi general entertainment channel (GEC) from Zeel's stable is set to launch in the second week of March.
The channel will launch shows starting from prime-time. With a robust line-up of fiction and non-fiction shows in the pipeline, the channel aims to target the changing consumption trends of youth and premium segment viewers. The channel will be competing with the incumbent players in the highly competitive Hindi GEC space.

A magistrate court in Chennai on Tuesday granted conditional bail to Sun TV chief operating officer (COO) C Praveen Kumar, who was arrested on a sexual harassment charge filed by a former woman employee of the TV network.
XI metropolitan magistrate Abraham Lincolin granted him bail on the condition of furnishing property documents worth Rs 36 lakh as surety.
The court also directed him to present himself before central crime branch officials at 10.30am daily until further orders.
