Colors, the Hindi general entertainment channel from the Viacom18 stable, is launching a wellness show on 29 April. Titled 'All is Well with Dr. Ahluwalia', the show will be aired every Sunday at 12 noon

The show is the Indian adaptation of the international format - Dr. OZ. This is one-of-its-kind show in India and will simplify the medical jargons and terminology for the masses and give its audiences the medical expertise. It will drive awareness and also educate the audiences towards managing health at home and leading a better lifestyle.

The Tamil Nadu government is planning to launch an education channel on its Arasu Cable Television Network.

School education minister N R Sivapathy said that an experts' committee will be constituted to look at the overall quality of school education, and another team of experts will look at the present higher-secondary syllabus and suggest necessary changes to upgrade it and equip the students to cope with challenges of higher education.

9X Media is set to launch an international music channel, 9XO, on 24 April.

This is the second international music channel to be launched recently. Earlier Big CBS Spark, which targets the youth audience, was repositioned as a music channel. Viacom18 also runs Vh1 in the same genre.

Kalanithi Maran, founder of Sun TV Network, has stepped down from the day-to-day affairs of the company by appointing K Vijaykumar as the company's MD. Maran will don the role of executive chairman with immediate effect.

In a regulatory filing, Sun TV said its board had approved the appointment of R Ravivenkatesh as non-executive independent director. Kaveri Kalanithi, wife of Kalanithi Maran, has been appointed as executive director of the company.
